What do you need to know about cleaning blinds?
Blinds can be made out of multiple types of materials which is what you need to consider when determining the method of cleaning.
Regular cleaning of the material and mechanism of the blinds will maintain the good quality of their look for the entire period of use, extend their lifespan and ensures proper function. Familiarize yourself with the manufacturer’s blind care instructions before you start. Be careful! Don’t use a pressure washer for washing the blinds! It may cause damage to your blinds and malfunctions. To prevent it, clean the roller blinds using the Clean blind product. Use it with generally available cleaning agents such as dishwashing liquids. Don’t use corrosive agents and all types of powders that may lead to scratches or paint discolouration while washing. First, rinse the Clean blind washer thoroughly with water mixed with detergent before you start. For this purpose, prepare a container with warm water and an appropriate amount of cleaning solution. After initial cleaning of the outdoor roller blinds off the dirt and dust, you can proceed with fundamental cleaning. Remember that before washing the outdoor blinds you need to make sure that the temperature outside doesn’t fall below zero. Cleaning the outdoor blinds in autumn and winter time when the temperature is below or around zero may cause the water in gaps to freeze and the roller shutter curtain to perforate, resulting in its damage and malfunctions.
