Seeing is believing!
Seeing is believing!

Selling household gadgets online is becoming increasingly difficult. The main reason is that you can't physically demonstrate their use. Without being able to see the tools in action, it can be tricky for customers to understand their functionality and benefits. Building trust, answering objections, and demonstrating value require clear descriptions, multimedia visualizations, and virtual demonstrations to compensate for the lack of physical interaction. Hence our idea for today's post. Thanks to the involvement of the originator and contractor of the Clean Blind washer, an instructional video was created to guide you in simple steps on how to clean a soiled blind.

We are well aware that cleaning exterior roller blinds can be frustrating. There are quite a few reasons why roller blinds get dirty. First, they are exposed to a variety of external factors, such as dust, dirt, sand, and debris. Unfortunately, no matter how much we try they get dirty quickly and often. Secondly, depending on the climate in your area, roller blinds may be exposed to sunlight, rain, snow, or strong winds, which can transfer dirt and grime to the blinds. Stormy weather can also cause mud or splatter from the ground to settle on the blinds. Thirdly, if your property is near construction sites, busy roads, or areas with lots of vegetation, there may be an increased amount of dust, fumes, or pollen in the air, which can get stuck on the blinds and make them dirty. And, unfortunately, the lack of regular cleaning can become more noticeable and make the blinds look old, damaged and, as a result, stop functioning properly. Hence the need and necessity to keep the roller blinds in good condition.

If you read our articles regularly you realize why regular cleaning of your roller shutter is so important. Here, for example, you can read the 5 most common problems, that can occur when we don't take proper care of outdoor blinds.

In order to minimize the frequency of dirt accumulation on the blinds, it is recommended to clean them regularly and maintain them properly. This video will help you see Clean Blind in action. Here is a step-by-step visual instruction on how to easily clean your exterior roller blinds.

Before we start!

Gather the necessary tools and materials: You'll need a ladder, bucket, mild detergent, Clean Blind, and clean towels if you want. Safety first: Be sure to take the necessary precautions before starting the cleaning process. Use a sturdy ladder and place it safely on a flat surface.

And one more important thing: Prepare the cleaning solution. Fill a bucket with warm water and add a mild detergent or baking soda or vinegar. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the blinds. Now we can immerse the entire Clean Blind in water. Note: When immersing Clean Blind in water, do not remove the covers or squeeze them out of the water. It's very important for Clean Blind to be really soaking wet before starting.

Let’s begin!

Close the blind: Make sure the blinds are not completely closed. Leave 30 cm from the bottom slat open to slide the Clean Blind slider in from underneath. This will allow the Clean Blind slider to slide nicely between the window and the blind. Holding the cleaning slide with a handle, match both sliders so that they connect thanks to strong magnets in a position perpendicular to the bottom list.

Note: The lower part of the blind (slat) may have additional metal reinforcements. Clean Blind on this slat will not hold well. Move the washer a few centimeters upwards this should solve the problem of the slider falling down. The laws of physics have their own laws :)

After attaching Clean Blind to the shutter, you can fully lower the external roller shutter with Clean Blind attached to it. Move the Clean Blind washer in a gentle upward motion to the top of the shutter while maintaining the vertical position. As shown in the video attached to today's blog post.

To start washing the roller shutter in the first step, move the Clean Blind upright to the very top, and halfway up the shutter make a gentle and slow movement with your hand in what is called an arc. Moving to the side edge of the roller blind - thus setting Clean Blind in the already changed horizontal position.

Remember, this movement must not be too abrupt. The transition from vertical to horizontal position should be smooth. Watch the video. We begin the process of proper washing. We wash the external blind in a smooth motion from one edge to the other. We wash the roller shutter by moving downward on successive slats of the shutter.

Gradually move the Clean Blind washer downward in a gentle motion. It is important that the movement is gentle, firm but at the same time steady. See how we demonstrate this in the video. Calmly slat by slat.

Pay special attention to any stubborn stains or areas of heavy soiling. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent damage to the louvers. You can repeat the process again if necessary. In the video, you can see how perfectly the two sliders fit together. This is the reason why Clean Blind works so amazingly. There is no way you can buy this kind of device anywhere. We are the best! We are the first! And we are the only ones!

When you're done washing the external shutter, lift it up about 30 cm and gently pull out the Clean Blind washer. When you're done, wash the covers at 30°C and leave the shutter open slightly to dry completely.

That's it!

If you clean your external window shutters regularly, we guarantee that the cleaning process will not take more than 10 minutes.  And most importantly, it really saves you money, as it prevents damage to the shutter or loose or broken components and there is no need to contact a professional for repair or maintenance.

By following these steps, you can effectively clean your shutters and keep them in good condition. Just watch the video and see how easy it is!
